This is a quilt pattern I had to make myself because the lady at WalMart cut my fabric in the wrong size amounts.....so I had to be resourceful!

I am FINISHED!!!!
YAY! I did it, I actually finished my project- my tote! It is pretty big, so I am thinking that this tote is going to go to my husband's grandmother, Granny, for her to put her vegetables in after she picks them from her garden. Or.....
Makayla, my daughter, could use this tote as a dress?

All the pieces fit!
WOW....This really looks good for my first purse/tote! Now I have to sew the binding on the top and the tote strings on!
Front of Tote
This is the front of the tote. It is 3 x 3 blocks sown together!
*Tip*: Line the seems up!!! LOL I learned the hard way!

Sewing Class
Starting every Tuesday of the last week of every month, Cassie Biggs and I are attending a beginner’s class for sewing.
This past Tuesday night was fun and we spent most of our time setting up our machines than actually sewing!
*Tip: Set-up your machine before you attend a sewing class! (I learned the hard way)
Cassie had a hard time with her sewing machine. I did too, but we figured out that playing with your sewing machine lets you become more familiar with it and how to fix a problem when it arises!
*Tip: Google is a great way to find your sewing machine's manual or other peoples answers to some questions you need help with.
I am going to post the link for the project we are going to work on, and tomorrow I am going to get some new fabric to start sewing together the 27 squares needed for this project!

Also, I really want to try this other bag that is on the same site...and it is a free pattern!
